Attending our Summer Reading Program is a great way to ensure your children reduce learning loss and increase reading skills over the summer months!! Pick up your reading logs, meet your reading goal and win a prize!!

Summer Reading Programming Schedule

All programs will be held at the Crossroads Branch except for a Deerassic Park Program and our FINALE!

Family Programs-

Summer Reading KICK-OFF, Monday June 17th, 6:30pm.  Be prepared to get wet at this program co-hosted by the Cambridge Fire Department. Wear your bathing suit, 'cause you are going to get drenched!!

Registration begins on June 3rd!

 Family Sign Language Program, Monday, June 24th, 6:30 -7:30. ASL educator Kimber Caito will let her hands do the talking as she presents a fun activity! Registration begins June 3rd!

Deerassic Park Family Program-Monday, July 1st, 6:30-7:30pm. Lets get together and do some digging!! Don't forget to bring your shovel! 

Registration begins June 17th!

Digging Up Your Roots Family Program-Monday, July 8th, 6:30-7:30pm.  Learn how to start finding those long, lost family members!

Wednesday Programs-

Miss Donna's Class, (2 1/2-Kindergarten) and Miss Mary's Class, (1st-5th Grade), join us as we  "Dig Into Reading"! 

Classes are held on June 19th & 26th and July 10th & 17th from 10:00-11:00am OR 1:00-2:00pm.  Activities include fun-filled-crafts, stories, games-while also promoting literacy!

Books for children and teens, posters and cool stuff for school will be available. Buying from the Book Fair helps us purchase more books for you to check out!

Thursday, July 18th, 1:00-1:30am  Programs include stories, knee bouncing learning games and other early literacy building activities!

 I Dig4-H for Kindergarten-5th Grade students, Thursday, June 27th, 1:00-2:00pm. Join Leslies Jirles from the OSU Extension Agency as she presents another fun and interactive program!

Readers Theater for 1st-5th Grade students-

Auditions: June 28th-1:00-3:00pm

Practice: July 12th-1:00-3:00pm

Performance: July 15th-6:30-7:30pm

Kids Movie Day-Tuesday, July 2nd, 2:00-4:00pm. 

I Dig Conservation Program for kindergarten thu 5th grade Thursday, July 11th, 1:00-2:00pm. This program will be hosted by the Guernsey Soil and Water Conservation Gurus!

Summer Reading Finale-

@ the Cambridge City Park Large Pavillion-Wednesday, July 24th, 10:45am. This family program is open to all participants and their families! Sogbety Diamonde will entertain us with the drums and dance of West Africa!!

Mary and Donna with JIM GILL, performer and songwriter!! Moms, Dads and kids-we dance to his music all the time during our story hour programs!!
